Accessibility Statement
The City of Jena is committed to making its websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council. This directive was implemented in Thuringia by the Thuringian Act on Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Bodies (ThürBarrWebG) of July 30, 2019. The Thuringian Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (ThürBITVO) of April 28, 2020, also applies.
This accessibility statement applies to the topic portals (subdomains) of jena.de in their current layout.
Status of Compliance with Requirements
Due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions, these websites are partially compliant with the Thuringian Law on Accessibility to Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Bodies (ThürBarrWebG) and the Thuringian Regulation on Accessible Information Technology (ThürBITVO).
Content that is not accessible
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:
Incompatibility with national laws
- Audio description or full-text alternatives for videos
- Audio Description for Videos
- Issues with Structure Tables
- Syntax Errors
The city of Jena is working hard to quickly address these issues in order to achieve a high level of accessibility.
Disproportionate Burden
- Videos (live) with subtitles
Due to the tight budget situation, there are unfortunately no funds available at this time to implement live captions. This applies in particular to the monthly live broadcasts of City Council meetings. As an alternative, only the minutes of the respective meetings can be provided at this time.
